How Do I Use MCA Suite APIs?

MCA Suite can integrate with websites, applications and integration tools. Below is an illustration of how MCA Suite can integrate with a third-party website such as JotForm or Zapier:

To setup your MCA Suite workspace for integration, Administrators will need to create an API Application.

To create an API Application in your workspace, locate and click on the "Settings" icon on the left-hand menu bar:

Clicking on the "Settings" icon will take you to the MCA Suite settings page. Locate and click on the "API" button:

Clicking on the API button will take you to the API Applications list page, where you can can add your Application. To add an application in your workspace, click on the "+" ("Add Application") button.

From the slide-out panel, provide a name for your application. For example, call it "Landing Page" if the application is for websites you setup to send leads to your workspace. Click on "Save" after you have named your application.

After hitting the "Save" button, the following screen will display the Client ID and Client Secret. Both values are required for external applications to integrate with your MCA Suite workspace. You should copy and save BOTH values for future use. You can click on the clipboard icons to copy both values and paste it in Notepad or some other reference document.

Note:  The Client Secret will only appear once and cannot be retrieve in the future.

Some MCA Suite APIs required the source to be whitelisted to meet security standards and requirements. To add the IP address of your server that you are using to retrieve information, click on the corresponding icon from the API Application list page:

You can add multiple IP addresses to this page to be whitelisted to use the MCA Suite API:

Once you have setup your API Application, you can place the credentials (Client ID and Client Secret) in your application to obtain an authorization token from MCA Suite to either push data to or get data from MCA Suite.

Tokens can be stored and used for multiple posts and to get commands for a 10-minute period. For security purposes, we require third-party applications to renew access tokens every 10 minutes.
